ARTAL Smart Agriculture has organized on January 15, in collaboration with its distributor in Mexico, AGROMX, the virtual seminar on Plant Immunotherapy and New Technologies. This is the first webinar in the world that deals with this innovative method to stimulate the immune system of plants, conditioning them to respond faster and more efficiently to different stressors.
The conference, which can be followed free of charge through the platform of the Institute for Technological Innovation in Agriculture of Mexico (Intagri), will be given by PhD Alessandro Rienzo, from the ARTAL Smart Agriculture R&D Department. The scientist will explain how the immune system of plants works and its main characteristics; He will introduce the concept of “Priming”, how it works and how it differs from other defense systems; he will talk about PRIMTAL, the range of products with priming technology applied to agronomy developed by the company based on the results of the research of a group of plant physiology at the University of Castellón in Spain; Finally, he will present the results obtained in trials and in Mexican agricultural fields.
PhD. Alessandro Rienzo is a plant biotechnologist from the University of Padua, and a doctorate in biotechnology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain and Harvard University (United States). He is the author of various scientific articles in international journals. He has been a research technician in different projects and molecular biology laboratories in Valencia.
